I cannot express how incredible my stay was at the wilderness lodge. Sue and Joseph are some of the most caring people I've ever met and their passion radiates throughout the lodge! They do everything possible to make your stay is special, from the tiny details inside the cabins to the grand outdoors it is all truly beautiful! I am blessed I got to spend my weekend here and would recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic quiet resort tucked up in north on one of Minnesota's nicest lakes. The owners are first class people who make you feel welcome. We love pulling up to the shore with our pontoon at night with their festive lights glowing on their shoreline. Great place if you want a true getaway! Lastly our group was given a tour of their wedding barn just down the road. If you want a storybook wedding you have to check this place out. Not enough time to describe how unique the place is but if you want your wedding to stand apart you have to see it yourself! The owners obviously had a vision, a ton of creativity, and drive to make this place what it is...amazing!!!!

The wilderness lodge is probably your best bet for Turtle Lake and Bigfork, MN area! Are you looking for remote with full amenities? Quite serenity somes this place up the best in my opinion. Ben, the owner, is super knowledgeable about the area and the history of the area, always able to help with appropriate suggestions for food and activities, including food! Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and book a stay if up north is your thing you will not be disappointed. Wilderness lodge always puts your needs and stay experience #1. Let Ben know Poplin uproves!

Ben and Birgitta were amazing hosting my extended family. This is the place to stay for the classic north woods lake experience! They have, or can organize, everything you need. I grew up coming to this lake and this is the resort I will be staying at for every visit in the future

We were fortunate enough to be able to rent the entire location, lodge and 4 cabins, for our wedding party and it was a great decision! The location is fantastic, the accommodations where adorable and all 40 people commented on how perfect it was for our event. We would definitely stay again.

Stayed several nights in a small cabin while visiting family mid September. Very clean and comfortable, quiet and serene. Had an issue with a thermostat, and the owner fixed it right without delay. I very highly recommend staying there for individuals, groups, and families. There are excellent small restaurants a few miles away.
